Scope
GB 19595-2004 is the English-translated version of 烟花爆竹 引火线.
GB 19595-2004 specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transport and storage of fuses used in fireworks and firecrackers, and applies to all such fuses.
Fuses are classified by burning speed into slow fuses (below 3.0 cm/s: ordinary and slow-burning timing fuses, safety fuses), paper fuses and fast fuses (3.0 cm/s and above: kraft paper, waterproof and safety fast fuses), and nineteen defects such as empty fuse, rat-tail fuse, flash-through and hesitation are defined.
Requirements cover appearance, burning speed tolerance (±4 % for timing fuses, ±8 % for other slow fuses, ±6 % for fast fuses), moisture absorption, moisture content, thermal stability at 75 °C for 48 h, side-ignition time, burning behaviour, load-bearing capacity, moisture and water resistance and dimensional tolerances, each with its test method.
Sampling follows GB/T 10632, and normative Annex A classifies each defect into categories a1 to c2; packages are limited to 20 kg and the shelf life is at least three years.
