1 Scope

This standard defines tire valve terms and their definitions, tire valve parts and their definitions, tire valve positions and dimensions

2 Tire valve terms and definitions

2.1

Tyrevalve

A valve used to charge and discharge gas or liquid in a tire and maintain its internal pressure.

2.2

Tubevalve

Valves for pneumatic tires with inner tubes (see Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 3, Figure 4, Figure 5, Figure 6, Figure 7, Figure 8).

2.3

Rubberbasevalve

Inner tube valve with rubber base (see Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 3, Figure 4, Figure 6, Figure 8).

2.4

Tubeclamp-invalve tubeclamp-invalve

Under the action of the fasteners, the valve base and the inner tube are press-fitted to obtain a sealed inner tube valve (see Figure 5 and Figure 7).

2.5

Tubeless valve

Rim valve

Valves for tubeless pneumatic tires (see Figure 9, Figure 10, Figure 11, Figure 12, Figure 13, Figure 14).

2.6

Snap-invalve

The elastomer part of the valve is matched with the rim to obtain a tubeless valve that is sealed and installed without fasteners (see Figure 9, Figure 13).

2.7

Tubelessclamp-invalve

Under the action of the fastener, the elastic seal on the valve is pressed and fitted with the rim to obtain a sealed tubeless valve (see

3 Terms and definitions of tire valve parts

3.1

Valvestem

The valve has a core cavity in the valve, which is directly connected to the inner tube or the rim through the nozzle seat (see Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 4, Figure 5, Figure 6, Figure 7,

Figure 8, Figure 9, Figure 10, Figure 11, Figure 12, Figure 13, Figure 14).

3.2

Metalstem

The metal part of the rubber seat valve or snap-on valve body (see Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 3, Figure 4, Figure 8, Figure 9).

3.3

Corehousing

It has a valve core cavity structure, which is installed on the nozzle seat and is sealed with the valve seat (see Figure 3).

3.4

Corehousingstem

Core sleeve without O-ring seal.

3.5

Mouth seat valvespud

Connect the nozzle body or core sleeve and install the valve parts on the inner tube or rim (see Figure 3, Figure 5, Figure 10, Figure 12).

3.6

Valvespudstem

The main body of the nozzle holder without any parts (see Figure 10 and Figure 12).

Connectionstem

Installed on the extension tube hose, one end has a pipe joint shape, and the other end has a valve core cavity structure part (see Figure 15,

3.8

Fixedhousing

The metal sleeves that fix the parts at both ends of the hose in the extension tube (see Figure 15, Figure 17).

3.9

Connectionpipe

Installed on the extension tube hose, one end has a pipe joint shape, and the other end has a zero that simultaneously pushes the valve core structure after being connected to the valve nozzle.

3.10

Connectionnut

Adaptor

The parts that connect the mouth holder and the mouth body (see Figure 20).

Rim nut

The nut that fixes the valve on the rim (see Figure 3, Figure 5, Figure 7, Figure 8, Figure 14).

Spacer

It is the part that plays the role of cushion in the assembly of valve, inner tube and rim (Figure 14).

3.24

Ringwasher

A gasket with a circular shape (see Figure 1, Figure 5, Figure 6, Figure 7, Figure 8, Figure 11).

3.25

Bridge washer bridgewasher

A gasket with a bridge shape (see Figure 4).

3.26

Rim gasket grommet

Under the action of external force, it is pressed against the rim to obtain a sealed elastic cushion (see Figure 10, Figure 11, Figure 14, Figure 20).

O-ring Oring

The section is a circular ring-shaped elastic ring (see Figure 3, Figure 10, Figure 12).

3.28

Valve core

Short core

Under the action of the spring preload, the core seat gasket and the core body are in a closed state of the valve core (see Figure 21).

Longcore

Core plug

Core seal plugwasher

The core is matched with the conical surface in the core cavity of the valve to obtain a sealed elastic ring (see Figure 21 and Figure 22).

Cupplunger

The valve core parts connected with the core rod to hold the core seat gasket (see Figure 21 and Figure 22).

Core spring

In the valve core, a coil spring that generates a pre-pressure between the core body, the core seat gasket and the core seat (see Figure 21, Figure 22).

The parts used to hold the core spring on the long valve core (see Figure 21).

Core cap swivel

Install the valve core in the valve core cavity with threaded valve core parts (see Figure 21, Figure 22).

Plungerwasher

The elastic cushion plays a sealing role between the core and the core seat (see Figure 21 and Figure 22).

3.41

Nutforholdencore

Press-fit the valve core of the Liche inner tube into the cylindrical nut inside the mouth (see Figure 7 and Figure 8).

Rubbertubing

It is installed on the core to keep the airtight between the valve core and the nozzle body and make the valve core have a one-way ventilating elastic tube (see Figure 7 and Figure 8).

Ejectorpin

Installed in the extension tube, used to open the valve core part of the valve core cavity (see Figure 16).

4 Tire valve position, size terms and definitions

4.1

Corechamber

The cavity of the valve that matches the valve core to ensure the ventilation and air tightness of the valve (see Figure 24).

4.2

Valvemouth

The outer end surface of the valve core cavity (see Figure 24).

4.3

Flared counterbore

The hole located in the upper part of the valve core cavity with a diameter larger than the major diameter of the core cavity thread (see Figure 24).

4.4

Core thread

The thread used to install the valve core in the valve core cavity (see Figure 24).

4.5

Taperseat

The part of the valve core cavity that cooperates with the valve core to obtain a seal (see Figure 24).

4.6

Recess

In order to increase the annular space between the valve core cavity and the valve core core seat, a cylindrical hole is machined in the valve core cavity (see Figure 24).

4.7

Throat

The cylindrical hole between the conical surface and the groove in the valve core cavity (see Figure 24).

4.8

Rubberbase

4.9

Vent passage

4.11

Core spring bracket support surface springcupseat

The end surface of the valve core cavity used to support the long valve core core spring bracket and make the core spring generate pre-compression (see Figure 24).

4.12

Capthread

The external thread used to install the protective cap on the valve (see Figure 24).

4.13

Bodythread

The external thread on the mouth body that cooperates with the nut for pressing or fixing (see Figure 1, Figure 11).

4.14

TPMS connection thread

TPMS snap type and compression type tubeless valve nozzle body used to connect or fix the internal thread or external thread of the TPMS transmitter (see

Figure 14).

4.15

Empty slot undercut

Undercut for machining threads.

4.16

Flats

Two symmetrical parallel surfaces on the valve that can apply torque (see Figure 1).

4.17

Buffedsurface

The bottom plane of the rubber seat polished to make the rubber seat and the inner tube bond firmly (see Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 3, Figure 4, Figure 6, Figure 8).

4.18

Cut-offshoulder

A boss on the mouth body or the mouth seat to prevent the rubber seat from overflowing the rubber during the vulcanization process (see Figure 2 and Figure 9).

4.19

Basebutton

The elastic body below the cylindrical sealing surface of the snap-in valve (see Figure 9, Figure 13).

4.20

Indicatorring

The buckle-type valve is a convex ring that serves as a sign and location when installed (see Figure 9, Figure 13).

4.21
