1 Scope

GB/T 12008.2-2010 is the Chinese national standard on plastics - polyether polyols - part 2: specification, in the field of rubber and plastic industries. 3 Main representative products

Polyether polyols are classified and named according to GB/T 12008.1-2009. The main products and main uses of polyether polyols applicable to this Part are shown in Table 1.

4 Requirements

4.1 Appearance A uniform viscous liquid without suspended matter nor mechanical impurities.

5 Test methods

5.1 Determination of appearance Put 50 mL of sample into a 50 mL colorimetric tube; visually inspect from the side under transmitted light conditions.

5.2 Determination of chromaticity The platinum-cobalt color number is determined by the method that is specified in GB/T 605-2006; the Gardner color scale is determined by the method that is specified in GB/T 22295-2008.

5.3 Determination of hydroxyl number Use the method that is specified in GB/T 12008.3-2009 for determination, with Method A as the arbitration method.

5.9 Determination of viscosity Use the method that is specified in GB/T 12008.7-2010 for determination, with Method A as the arbitration method.

5.10 Determination of pH value Measure according to the method that is specified in Appendix B.

6 Inspection rules

6.1 Inspection classification and inspection items The inspection of polyether polyol products is delivery inspection; all items in

4.2 of this Part are delivery inspection items.

7 Marking, packaging, transportation and storage

7.1 Marking The packaging containers of polyether polyol products shall have clear and firm marking. The marking content may include. product name, specification, grade, net content, production date, batch number, standard number, name and site of the manufacturer, etc.
