Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part
1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document supersedes GB/T 10411-2005 "DC Traction Power Supply System for Urban Rail Transit" and is consistent with GB/T 10411-2005. Aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
a) The scope of application has been changed to include monorail systems (straddle-type and suspended types) and medium- and low-speed maglev systems powered by DC traction. Power supply systems for urban rail transit, such as automated guided track systems and trams (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2005 edition);
b) Terms and definitions have been changed (see Chapter 3, Chapter 3 of the.2005 edition);
c) General requirements have been added (see Chapter 4);
d) The application scope of Level 1 load has been changed (see 5.1.3,
4.3 in the.2005 version);
e) An external power supply is required (see 5.2);
f) The requirements for the distribution of traction substations have been changed (see 6.1,
5.2 of the.2005 edition);
g) The capacity requirements for traction substation equipment have been changed (see 6.2,
5.1 of the.2005 edition);
h) The power supply efficiency of the traction substation has been changed (see 6.4.4,
5.5.4 in the.2005 version);

This document specifies the general requirements, power supply methods, and external power supply for urban rail transit DC traction power supply systems (hereinafter referred to as "the System"). Main performance indicators and equipment operation of power source, traction substation, cables, contact network, return current, system grounding and overvoltage protection, and power monitoring system characteristic. This document applies to DC traction power supply systems for urban rail transit.
