1 Scope

GB 7956.23-2019 is the Chinese national standard on fire fighting vehicles - part 23: compressed air supply fire fighting vehicle, in the field of environment and health protection, safety. It carries no /T suffix, which in the Chinese system means compliance is mandatory: a product or a practice within its scope has to meet it to be lawfully made, sold or carried out in China. It was issued on 31 December 2019 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 July 2020. 3 Terms and definitions

3.1 Gas fire truck compressedairsupplyfirefightingvehicle Mainly equipped with high-pressure air compressors, high-pressure gas storage cylinders, inflatable protective boxes and other devices to inflate air respirator bottles or pneumatic tools Fire truck providing air supply. 3.2 Cylinder inflation time The time required for the air respirator bottle to reach its rated pressure.

3.3 Direct charge The high-pressure air compressor inflates the air respirator bottle.

3.4 Refillinginflation The high-pressure gas cylinder group inflates the air respirator bottle.

3.5 Compressed airsupplysystem A system consisting of an air compressor, a high-pressure gas storage cylinder group, an inflatable protective box, a pipeline, and a display and control device.
