What this standard covers

This standard specifies the structural types, technical requirements, and material requirements for safety valves used in compressors. It describes the corresponding test methods and specifies inspection rules, marking, sealing, supply, painting, protection, packaging, transportation, and storage. This document applies to the manufacture of spring-loaded direct-load safety valves with a set pressure not exceeding 40 MPa, a nominal size not exceeding DN50, an operating temperature not exceeding 200°C, and a medium of compressed gas.
