3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 17765 apply to this document.
3.1
In inland waters such as rivers, lakes, reservoirs, and canals, visual aids to navigation and radio navigation are set up for safe, economical and convenient navigation of ships.
Aids to navigation such as navigation marks and virtual navigation marks.
3.2
Characterized by shape, color, light quality, pattern, text, etc., it is an intuitively identifiable navigation aid.

3.2.1 navigation mark
A sign indicating the direction, limits and obstructions of a fairway.

3.2.2 Signal sign signalmark
It is a sign indicating the limit of a specific river section, hub control gate, channel mileage, tributary estuary, port and other information related to channel or navigation.

3.2.3 special mark
It is used to mark the various buildings (structures) that block the river, cross (cross) the channel, and face the river, or the signs set up to mark specific waters.
