1 Scope

GB 45671-2025 is the Chinese national standard on safety technical specifications for construction waterproof coatings, in the field of construction materials and building. It carries no /T suffix, which in the Chinese system means compliance is mandatory: a product or a practice within its scope has to meet it to be lawfully made, sold or carried out in China. It was issued on 25 April 2025 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 November 2025. This document specifies the safety technical requirements for building waterproof coatings and describes the test methods. This document is applicable to flexible waterproof coatings, cement-based waterproof materials and other liquid, two-component liquid powder, dry powder for construction projects. 3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Flexible waterproof coating It is in liquid or paste state before construction, and can be solidified through cooling, volatilization and reaction after construction to form a coating with a certain thickness and flexibility. Waterproof material.

3.2 Waterborne waterproof coating A flexible waterproof coating that uses water as a dispersion medium and solidifies into a film by expelling water through volatilization or reaction.
