GB 45671-2025 is the English-translated version of 建筑防水涂料安全技术规范.

GB 45671-2025 specifies the safety technical requirements, and describes the test methods, for building waterproof coatings: flexible waterproof coatings (water-borne, reactive polymer, solvent-borne and hot melt), cement-based waterproof materials, and other liquid, two-component liquid-powder and dry powder waterproof materials used in construction works.

The requirements cover the burning behaviour of exposed flexible coating films (not lower than class B2 of GB 8624), a minimum flash point of 200 °C for hot melt coatings, and limits of hazardous substances for each product family.

The hazardous substance limits include volatile organic compounds, formaldehyde, ammonia, benzene, toluene + ethylbenzene + xylene, phenol, anthracene, naphthalene, free TDI, short-chain chlorinated paraffins, total lead and soluble cadmium, chromium and mercury, with test methods referring to GB/T 41078, GB/T 16777, GB/T 18244 and other standards.
