GB All technical content in this section 4407 is mandatory. GB 4407 "Seed crops" is divided into two parts.

1 Scope

GB 4407.1-2008 is the Chinese national standard on seed of economic crops - part 1: fibre species, in the field of agriculture. It carries no /T suffix, which in the Chinese system means compliance is mandatory: a product or a practice within its scope has to meet it to be lawfully made, sold or carried out in China. It was issued on 14 April 2008 by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 September 2008. Classification: ICS 65.020.20, CCS B32. 3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this part of GB 4407's.

3.1 Breeder seed multiplication with the first generation to the third generation, seeds and confirmed to meet the specified quality requirements.

3.2 By conventional breeding stock first generation to the third generation or hybrid seeds, seeds and confirmed to meet the specified quality requirements.

3.3 Or seed cotton ginning stripping cashmere, attached to the surface of the short fiber cottonseed.

3.4 After de-linter.

3.5 A shape similar to the original seed units may contain insecticides, fungicides, dyes, or other additives seed.

4 Quality requirements

4.1 General Seed quality requirements by the quality indicators and quality stated values. The quality indexes include purity, clarity, germination rate and moisture; quality standards NOTE value should be true and meet the quality requirements of this section (see 4.2).

6 Inspection rules
