The standard is mandatory and it is the basis of the CCC certification the product needs. It sets the classification and the requirements: on the operation, the force required and the indication that the point has been operated, on the resettability and the means of resetting, on the marking and the legibility of the instruction, on the electrical requirements and the signals sent to the control panel including the addressable case, on the enclosure and its degree of protection, on the mechanical strength and the impact resistance, on the resistance to heat, cold, humidity, corrosion and vibration, and on the electromagnetic compatibility, together with the test methods and the inspection rules. The 2024 edition replaces GB 19880-2005.
