GB 15982-2012 is the English-translated version of 医院消毒卫生标准.

GB 15982 sets the microbiological limits a Chinese hospital must meet: the permitted counts on surfaces, on the hands of staff, in the air of operating theatres and wards of each class, on sterilised and disinfected instruments, in disinfectant solutions in use, and in the water of endoscope and dialysis circuits. It then sets the management requirements — the disinfection procedures, the monitoring frequency and the records — with two normative annexes giving the sampling and inspection methods and the reagents and culture media. It is the standard an infection control inspection is run against. Issued on 29 June 2012, in force since 1 November 2012, replacing GB 15982-1995.
