Scope
QC/T 71-2009 is the English-translated version of 摩托车和轻便摩托车轮辋.
QC/T 71-2009 is a recommended automotive industry standard of China devoted to the rims of motorcycles and mopeds. It gives terms and definitions, divides the products into classes, and sets requirements, test methods, inspection rules and provisions for marking, packaging, transport and storage.
It applies to rims of steel or light alloy for spoke wheels on motorcycles and mopeds; rims made from steel or light alloy sheet for such wheels may also follow it, while rims produced by casting are outside its scope.
Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 1732, GB/T 2828.1, GB/T 4957, GB/T 6461-2002, GB/T 10125, GB/T 13452.2-2008 and QC/T 722-2004, and it was drawn up with reference to JIS D4215-1995 on a non-equivalent basis.
It replaces QC/T 71-1993. Issued on 17 November 2009, it has applied since 1 April 2010.
