Scope
QC/T 1122-2019 is the English-translated version of 汽车发动机用电动水泵技术条件.
QC/T 1122-2019 covers electric water pumps for vehicle engines, specifying requirements, test methods, inspection items and packaging and transport conditions. It applies to pumps with a 12 V supply; other supply voltages may use it as a reference.
Clause 4 requires surfaces free of defects, colour difference, deformation and cracks, sets the starting and normal operating voltage at 12 V plus or minus 4 V, and gives a recommended operating temperature range of -40 degrees C to 125 degrees C. Electrical and climatic behaviour is graded against GB/T 28046.1-2011: reverse voltage must reach at least level C, and temperature gradient, cold water shock, damp heat cycling and salt spray level A. Protection is IP 6K 9K through GB/T 30038.
Durability calls for a general endurance test of at least 2000 h with performance drift under 5 percent, a start-stop test of 345000 cycles with 2 s running and 3 s stalling stages, high temperature working endurance of 500 h in a chamber at 125 degrees C with coolant at 90 degrees C plus or minus 2 degrees C, low temperature working endurance of 500 h in a chamber at -40 degrees C, and 24 hours of idling at 12 V. Vibration runs in X, Y and Z: the resonant frequency between 10 Hz and 200 Hz is found with a 1 g sweep and driven at 20 g, with swept vibration of 8 hours per direction.
Immunity uses bulk current injection from 1 MHz to 400 MHz and the free field method from 200 MHz to 2.5 GHz and 2.7 GHz to 3.2 GHz.
