Scope

QC/T 1000.2-2015 is the English-translated version of 汽车滤清器用非织布性能要求和测试方法第2部分：空气滤清器用.

QC/T 1000.2-2015 is part 2 of the QC/T 1000 series on nonwovens for automotive filters, and covers the media of air filters. Clause 1 gives their classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packing, transportation and storage.

Clause 3 separates hot forming press media, non-hot forming press media and precision media for the primary air element of commercial vehicle air filters.

Clause 4 sets the safety requirements - pH from 4.0 to 8.5, no sensory odour, formaldehyde content <= 10 mg/kg and carcinogenic aromatic amine dyestuffs banned - and the dimensions, with a width tolerance of ± 1 mm and rolls wound to a drum diameter of phi 600 mm ± 50 mm on standard cores of phi 76 mm inner diameter, width and core diameter otherwise being agreed in the contract.

Clause 5 conditions samples to GB 6529, checks appearance by eye and reads grammage and thickness as percentage tolerances, the latter to GB/T 24218.2. Issued by MIIT on 30 April 2015, it has applied since 1 October 2015.

1 Scope

This Part specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packing, transportation and storage of non-woven of filters for air filter (hereinafter referred to as non-woven).

This Part applies to non-woven of filter for air filter.

3 Terms and definitions

For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.

3.1 Hot forming presses filter media

non-woven filter media which are used for the hot forming process for the production of air filter

3.2 Non-hot forming presses filter media

non-woven filter media which are used for the non-hot forming process for the production of air filter

3.3 Precision filter media for commercial vehicle

non-woven filter media for air filter primary air element for commercial vehicle

4 Requirements

4.2.4 Tolerance of dimensions

Tolerance of width of filter media is ± 1 mm. Drum diameter of filter media rolls is specified to be Phi 600 mm, with a tolerance of ± 50 mm. Filter media rolls shall have standard drum cores with an inner diameter of Phi 76 mm.

5 Test methods

5.1 Standard atmospheric conditions for sample processing and test shall be as specified in GB 6529.

5.2 Visual inspection is carried out for appearance inspection.
