NB/T 31092-2016 is a recommended energy industry standard of China covering the performance and the safety of wind turbines meant for microgrids. It sets the technical conditions these machines must satisfy and the methods by which they are tested.

Horizontal axis and vertical axis units at a voltage level of 35 kV and below fall inside its scope, in grid-connected and in independent applications alike, and other types of turbine may be treated by reference to it.

It works together with NB/T 31093-2016, and quotes NB/T 31016, NB/T 31051-2014, NB/T 31054-2014, JB/T 10426.1, JB/T 10427 and IEC 61400-2-2013. Issued on 7 January 2016, it has applied since 1 June 2016.
