NB/T 20055-2011 is the Chinese energy industry standard covering the software of computer-based instrumentation and control systems important to safety in nuclear power plants, where those systems perform category B or category C functions.
It states the requirements placed on such software and is meant to be used at every stage of the software life cycle of a computer-based system in a nuclear power plant.
The standard is a modified adoption of IEC 62138-2004. NB/T 20052-2011, NB/T 20026-2010 and ISO 9000-3-1997 are quoted alongside it. Issued on 1 July 2011, it has applied since 1 October 2011.
