Scope

NB/T 20028.2-2010 is the English-translated version of 核电厂用蓄电池第2部分：安装设计和安装准则.

NB/T 20028.2-2010 carries the second part of the Chinese energy industry series on batteries for nuclear power plants and recommends practice for installation design and for the installation work itself.

It deals with the storage, layout, installation design, assembly and charging of stationary lead-acid and nickel-cadmium batteries, and with ventilation, instruments and the programme for pre-assembled installations.

Both the design of the installation and the work on site are within its reach. It leaves out other battery types, the remaining parts of the DC system, and special uses such as emergency lighting units, mobile equipment and alternative energy applications.

The documents it cites are GB/T 13625, NB/T 20028.1 and NB/T 20028.4-2010, and it replaced EJ/T 525.2-1999. Issued on 1 May 2010, it has applied since 1 October 2010.
