NB/T 20028.1-2010 is the first part of the Chinese energy industry standard on the batteries used in nuclear power plants, and it holds the recommended practice for sizing them.
It explains how the capacity of a stationary battery carrying the DC load under full-power float operating conditions is determined, for lead-acid and nickel-cadmium types alike, and lists the factors to weigh when a battery is selected.
The part serves to determine battery capacity in nuclear power plants; it does not extend to other types of battery, to the design of the DC system or to the capacity of the battery charger.
NB/T 20028.2, NB/T 20028.4 and IEEE Std 1184-1994 are quoted. It replaces EJ/T 525.1-2002. Issued on 1 May 2010, it has applied since 1 October 2010.
