Scope

NB/T 11517-2024 is the English-translated version of 矿用提升容器重要承载件无损检测方法与判定规则.

NB/T 11517-2024 is the Chinese energy industry standard for nondestructive inspection of the important load-bearing components of mine hoisting conveyances such as cages, skips and counterweights, meaning the head and tail rope suspension devices and suspension plates that carry the hoisting load.

It details ultrasonic testing and magnetic particle testing, from equipment, test pieces, magnetizing current and demagnetization to the acceptance rules for butt welds, forgings and plates, and shaft parts.

A further clause divides the inspection areas of cheek plates, connecting rods, reversing forks, peach-shaped rings, axles, booms and pins, and an annex adds ultrasonic shear wave testing.

Coarse-grained materials such as austenitic stainless steel and grey cast iron are excluded. Issued on 24 May 2024, it has applied since 24 November 2024.

1 Scope

This document specifies the general requirements, ultrasonic testing, and non-destructive testing of important load-bearing parts of mining lifting vessels (cages, skips, counterweights, etc.).

Testing methods, magnetic particle testing methods, determination rules and principles for the division of non-destructive testing areas.

This document is applicable to non-destructive testing of important bearing parts of mining lifting containers.

The non-destructive testing of important load-bearing parts can be carried out for reference.

This document is not applicable to coarse-grained materials such as austenitic stainless steel and grey cast iron.

3 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 12604.1 and GB/T 12604.5 and the following apply to this document.

3.1 Important load-bearing components

The head and tail rope suspension devices of the lifting container, the suspension plates on the lifting container body, etc. are mainly used to bear the lifting load and are directly related to the lifting safety. Related parts.

3.2 Defect

One or more lesions whose size, shape, orientation, location, or nature does not satisfy the determination criteria.
