Scope

NB/T 10002-2014 is the English-translated version of 煤层气地震勘探规范.

The recommended energy industry standard NB/T 10002-2014 governs seismic prospecting for coalbed methane. It sets out the work procedure, the stages of a seismic survey, survey design, quality control, data acquisition, data processing and interpretation, the preparation of the results report, and the criteria used for quality inspection.

Its provisions serve seismic work at every stage of coalbed methane exploration and development. Among the standards it quotes are GB 12950, SY/T 5171, SY/T 5314, SY/T 5331, SY/T 5928 and SY/T 6290. Issued on 18 March 2014, it has applied since 1 August 2014.
