1 Foreword

JB/T 9940.2-2013 was issued by MIIT on 31 December 2013 and has been in force since 1 July 2014.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 9940.2-1999.

It is one of 3 parts of the JB/T 9940 series.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for self-holding taper reduction sleeves used on tool shanks. Part 2 lays down the accuracy of these sleeves, their technical requirements, the inspection rules and the provisions for packaging, marking and accompanying documents. It applies to self-holding taper reduction sleeves fitted to machine tools. It replaces JB/T 9940.2-1999. It quotes GB/T 1443-1996, GB/T 17421.1-1998, GB/T 23575-2009, JB/T 2326-2005, JB/T 3207-2005 and JB/T 9935-2011, and it sits under J52 in the Chinese classification and 25.060.20 in the international one.
