JB/T 9940.1-2014 is the English-translated version of 工具柄自锁圆锥变径套 第1部分：型式和参数.
JB/T 9940.1-2014, a recommended standard of the Chinese machinery industry, is the first part of the series on reduction sleeves with self-holding tapers for tool shanks.
It fixes the types of these sleeves and the parameters that describe them. It covers the reduction sleeves used on machine tools and on tools carrying self-holding tapered shanks.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 9940.1-1999.
It is one of 3 parts of the JB/T 9940 series.
2 Scope
JB/T 9940.1-2014, a recommended standard of the Chinese machinery industry, is the first part of the series on reduction sleeves with self-holding tapers for tool shanks. It fixes the types of these sleeves and the parameters that describe them. It covers the reduction sleeves used on machine tools and on tools carrying self-holding tapered shanks. Within the JB/T 9940 series it is the member that carries the types and the parameters, and it sits with the tooling standards of the machine tool group.
