Scope

JB/T 9725-2014 is the English-translated version of 土方机械产品型号编制方法.

1 Foreword

JB/T 9725-2014 was issued by MIIT on 9 July 2014 and has been in force since 1 November 2014.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 9725-1999.

2 Scope

JB/T 9725-2014 is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard that lays down how earth-moving machinery is given its type designation. It states the principles and the method to be followed when a product model number is formed for such machines. The standard applies to the earth-moving machinery defined in GB/T 8498, and derivative products of that machinery may use or refer to the same method. It quotes GB/T 8498, and the classification is P97 in the Chinese system and 53.100 internationally. It takes the place of JB/T 9725-1999, which covered model numbers for construction machinery and equipment. Issued on 9 July 2014, it has applied since 1 November 2014.
