JB/T 8981-2011 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 20 December 2011 and has been in force since 1 April 2012.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8981-1999.
2 Scope
This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for brushed three-phase synchronous generators driven by reciprocating internal combustion engines. It fixes their types, basic parameters and dimensions, the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, packaging and warranty requirements. It applies to engine-driven brushed three-phase synchronous generators of frame sizes 132 to 400 with a nominal frequency of 50 Hz, shortened to generators. It replaces JB/T 8981-1999 and was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Among the standards it quotes are GB 755-2008, GB/T 997-2008, GB 10068-2008 and GB/T 22714-2008.
