JB/T 8949.1-2013 was issued by MIIT on 25 April 2013 and has been in force since 1 September 2013.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8949.1-1999.

It is one of 3 parts of the JB/T 8949 series.

2 Scope

This standard is the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for general purpose rectifier diodes in stud-mounted form. It reaches stud devices whose case-rated average forward current runs from 5 A to 500 A, and for them it sets the type designations and dimensions, the ratings and characteristics, the inspection rules, the quality grading and the requirements for marking and packaging. The standard is filed under Chinese classification K46 and international classification 31.080.10. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 4023, GB/T 4937-1995, JB/T 2423, JB/T 4277 and JB/T 7624-2013. It supersedes JB/T 8949.1-1999.
