JB/T 8333.1-2011 was issued by MIIT on 18 May 2011 and has been in force since 1 August 2011.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8333.1-1996.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard, issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, that deals with accuracy testing of portable cantilever and portal-type planers. As Part 1 of its series it sets out the preliminary checks made on the machine, the geometric accuracy and the accuracy tests, and the tolerances that go with them. Its field of application is portable cantilever planers and portal planers whose maximum planing width runs from 800 mm to 1250 mm. GB/T 17421.1-1998 is quoted in the text. The document supersedes the earlier edition JB/T 8333.1-1996, and the catalogue records it under the Chinese classification J57 and the international classification 25.080.25.
