1 Foreword

JB/T 8323-2015 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 10 October 2015 and has been in force since 1 March 2016.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8323-1996.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for stud welding machines. It gives the terminology and definitions for such machines, their product types and basic parameters, the environmental conditions, the technical requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules. The machines in its scope are stud welders working under normal operating conditions. For other types of product and for special conditions of use, the standard allows further particular requirements to be agreed between the user and the manufacturer and written into an enterprise standard or into special technical conditions on the basis of this text. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 902.1, GB/T 2900.22, GB 4208 and GB 15579.1. It replaces JB/T 8323-1996.
