JB/T 8163-2011 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 20 December 2011 and has been in force since 1 April 2012.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8163-1999.
2 Scope
This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for the direct current motors used on the auxiliary drives of rolling mills. It specifies the types of motor, the basic parameters and dimensions, the technical requirements, the inspection rules and the provisions for marking, packaging and use, and it states the mechanical and electrical requirements and the mounting dimensions for foot-mounted motors in heavy duty service. The standard applies to DC motors for mill auxiliary drives and also to DC motors for lifting. Among the standards it quotes are GB 755-2008, GB 10068-2008 and GB/T 12665-2008.
