JB/T 8063.1-2011 was issued by MIIT on 20 December 2011 and has been in force since 1 April 2012.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8063.1-1996.
It is one of 15 parts of the JB/T 8063 series.
2 Scope
This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard and the first part of the series on methods of chemical analysis for powder metallurgy materials and products. It describes the gas volumetric method for determining carbon over the range 0.1 % to 2.0 % in iron-based powder metallurgy materials and products, setting out the method itself, the reagents and instruments, the analytical procedure, the calculation of the results and the content of the test report. Its field of application is the determination of carbon content in iron-based powder metallurgy materials and products. It quotes GB/T 223.69-2008 and replaces JB/T 8063.1-1996. The catalogue gives Chinese classification H72 and international classification 77.160.
