1 Foreword
JB/T 7898-2013 was issued by MIIT on 31 December 2013 and has been in force since 1 July 2014.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 7898-1999.
2 Scope
This standard is the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for filled polytetrafluoroethylene slideway soft strips. It lays down the technical requirements for the strip together with the inspection rules and the provisions for packaging, labelling and storage. The strips it covers are those used on metal-cutting machine tools, within a defined range of thicknesses, that have to give a required friction behaviour, wear resistance and resistance to creep. It is classified J10 in the Chinese system and 83.140.99 internationally. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 1040.2, GB/T 3398.1, GB/T 3960 and GB/T 15254. It supersedes JB/T 7898-1999.
