JB/T 7438-2017 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 7 November 2017 and has been in force since 1 April 2018.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 7438-1994.
2 Scope
This standard is a recommended standard of the Chinese machinery industry on air plasma arc cutting machines, treated as thermal cutting equipment. It states the terms and definitions, the composition of the machine, the classification and model designation, the technical requirements, the safety requirements, the tests and methods, the inspection items and acceptance rules, and the marking, packing, quality documentation and storage.
