JB/T 6494-2014 was issued by MIIT on 6 May 2014 and has been in force since 1 October 2014.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 6494-2002.
2 Scope
This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for hopper type plastic dryers, the auxiliary machines that dry plastics material before processing. It fixes their basic parameters and technical requirements, the test methods and inspection rules, and the arrangements for marking, packaging, transport and storage. Hopper dryers for plastics are its field of application. It calls on GB/T 191, GB 1236, GB/T 6388, GB/T 9969, GB/T 13306, GB/T 13384, HG/T 3228-2001, JB/T 2379-1993 and JB/T 5438.
