Scope
QC/T 879-2011 is the English-translated version of E型通孔式嵌装塑料螺母.
QC/T 879-2011 is the recommended Chinese automotive industry standard for type E plastic expansion nuts with an open end, the through-hole fasteners pressed into a panel to receive a tapping screw.
It fixes the types and the dimensions of these nuts and the technical conditions they have to meet. The nuts covered are those matched to tapping screw threads from NST4.5 to NST6 fitted in through holes.
QC/T 326, QC/T 618, QC/T 713 and YB/T 5058 are quoted in the text. Issued on 20 December 2011, it has applied since 1 July 2012.
