JB/T 5221-2014 was issued by MIIT on 6 May 2014 and has been in force since 1 October 2014.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 5221-1991.
2 Scope
JB/T 5221-2014 is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for the digital hand-held contact tachometer. It sets the basic parameters of the instrument together with the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions for marking, packaging and storage. Instruments of this kind, used for the short-term measurement of rotational speed, are its subject. GB/T 191-2008 and GB/T 13384 are quoted and are applied with it.
