Leak testing is the subject of part 8 of JB/T 4730, the Chinese machinery industry recommended standard on the nondestructive testing of pressure equipment. JB/T 4730.8-2012 specifies the leak detection methods for pressure equipment. It applies to leak detection and to the location of leaks in the manufacture and the use of pressure equipment, and it can also serve for the measurement that determines the leak rate. Its Chinese classification is H26 and its international classification 77.040.20. The standard is declared a non-equivalent adoption of ASTM E1066-95R06. It quotes GB 11533, GB/T 12604.7, JB/T 4730.1 and NB/T 47013.7.
