1 Foreword

JB/T 4279.5-2008 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 1 February 2008 and has been in force since 1 July 2008.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 4279.5-1994.

It is one of 29 parts of the JB/T 4279 series.

2 Scope

The jerk tester is the instrument covered by JB/T 4279.5-2008, Part 5 of the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on verification procedures for test equipment of enamelled winding wire. The standard sets out the test items and the technical requirements for that tester, the apparatus used when verifying it, the test methods, and the handling of the test results. Its field of use is the testing of jerk testers for enamelled round wire. The Chinese classification recorded for it is K12, the international classification 29.060, and the standard quoted in the text is JB/T 4279.1-2008. It replaces JB/T 4279.5-1994 and was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
