JB/T 3283-2010 is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for thyristor AC power controllers. It sets out terms and definitions, types and basic parameters, performance and testing, and requirements for marking, packaging, transport and storage. It applies to industrial low-voltage AC power controllers whose main controlling parts are thyristors switching or regulating AC power, covering AC power switches, frequency control and phase control, but not AC to AC inverters. Uses named include industrial furnace temperature control, motor starters, solid state relays and AC dimmers; controllers built on other power semiconductor devices such as IGBTs may refer to it. It replaces JB/T 3283-1983 and quotes GB/T 2900.33-2004 and GB/T 13422.
