1 Foreword

JB/T 2769-2008 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 1 February 2008 and has been in force since 1 July 2008.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 2769-1992.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard belonging to the series on valve components, and it deals with high pressure threaded flanges. It lays down the forms, the dimensions and the technical requirements of forged threaded flanges for high pressure valves sealed at the flange angle by a lens gasket. The flanges within its scope are those of nominal pressure from PN160 to PN320 and nominal size from DN3 to DN200. It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 2769-1992. Two Chinese classification entries are recorded for it, J16 and J15, with the international classification 23.060, under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
