1 Foreword

JB/T 13404-2018 was issued by MIIT on 30 April 2018 and has been in force since 1 December 2018.

2 Scope

This standard is the Chinese machinery industry standard for the cold shears used on bar rolling lines. It sets out the terms and definitions, the method by which models are designated, the models themselves, the types and parameters, the technical requirements and the test methods, and it continues with the inspection rules and with signs, packaging, transport and storage. The standard is a recommended one, classified H94 in the Chinese system and 77.180 in the international one. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 6404.2-2005, GB/T 8542-1987, GB/T 10095.1-2008, GB/T 13306 and JB/T 5000.3-2007.
