1 Foreword

JB/T 12947-2016 was issued by MIIT on 22 October 2016 and has been in force since 1 April 2017.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for housing type mill stands used in wire rod and bar rolling. It sets the terms and definitions, the way the model designation is formed and how it is marked, the types and parameters of the stand, the technical requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules, together with marking, packaging, transport and storage. Closed, housing type stands for wire rod and bar mills are its whole subject. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 231.1, GB/T 307.1-2005, GB/T 307.3-2005, GB/T 1184-1996, GB/T 1504 and GB/T 1804-2000.
