Scope
JB/T 12530.1-2015 is the English-translated version of 塑料焊缝无损检测方法 第1部分：通用要求.
Part 1 of JB/T 12530, published in 2015, carries the general requirements for the non-destructive testing of welded joints in thermoplastics, covering visual examination, radiographic testing and ultrasonic testing.
It applies to the non-destructive testing of joints in pipes and sheets of polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, polyvinylidene fluoride, polytetrafluoroethylene and other thermoplastics, made by hot-gas welding, extrusion welding or hot-plate welding.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the part on 10 October 2015 and it took effect on 1 March 2016.

This document was issued on 10 October 2015 by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, and has been in force since 1 March 2016.
