Scope

JB/T 12530.3-2015 is the English-translated version of 塑料焊缝无损检测方法第3部分：射线检测.

Radiographic examination of welded joints in thermoplastics is the subject of Part 3 of JB/T 12530, published in 2015. The machinery industry standard gives terms and definitions, general requirements, the technical grades, the preparation for inspection, the acceptance and the inspection report.

It applies to the radiographic testing of welded joints in pipes and sheets of polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, modified polytetrafluoroethylene and other thermoplastics, where the joints were made by hot-gas welding, extrusion welding or hot-plate welding. It was issued on 10 October 2015 and took effect on 1 March 2016.

This document was issued on 10 October 2015 by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, and has been in force since 1 March 2016.

It is the first edition of this standard.
