Scope
JB/T 10659-2015 is the English-translated version of 无损检测 锻钢材料超声检测 连杆的检测.
JB/T 10659-2015, a recommended standard of the Chinese machinery industry, sets out the ultrasonic testing of connecting rods forged from steel and the quality classes into which the tested rods are placed. Its field is the connecting rods of engines with a cylinder bore below 300 mm, motorcycle engine connecting rods included. The basic non-destructive testing rules of GB/T 5616 apply together with it. Among the further standards it quotes are GB/T 9445, GB/T 18852 and GB/T 23912. It replaces the 2006 edition, JB/T 10659-2006, and is filed under the Chinese classification J04.
