1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage requirements for cold cathode ionization vacuum gauge heads.
It applies to Penning, magnetron and inverted magnetron cold cathode ionization vacuum gauge heads for pressures greater than 1 x 10-7 Pa, hereinafter referred to as "gauge heads".

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions given in GB/T 3163, together with the following, apply to this document.
3.1 Scatter
The deviation of the gauge head coefficient.
3.2 Sensitivity
For a given pressure, the change in the reading of the vacuum gauge divided by the corresponding change in pressure.
NOTE: for some types of vacuum gauge the sensitivity coefficient depends on the nature of the gas. In that case the sensitivity is always referred to nitrogen.
3.3 Leak rate
Under specified conditions, the flow of a particular gas through a leak.
4 Technical requirements
4.1 Service conditions
The gauge head shall work properly under the following ambient conditions: a) ambient temperature 0 °C to 40 °C.
