1 Foreword

JB/T 10023-2013 was issued by MIIT on 31 December 2013 and has been in force since 1 July 2014.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 10023-1999.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard covering portable gear base pitch measuring instruments. It gives the terms and definitions used for these instruments, their types and basic parameters, the requirements they have to meet, the test methods and the rules for marking and packaging. The standard applies to instruments used on gears with a module from 1 mm to 16 mm. Its Chinese classification is J42 and its international classification 17.040.30. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 1219-2008, GB/T 10095.1-2008, GB/T 14436-1993, GB/T 18761-2007 and JB/T 9329-1999. JB/T 10023-2013 takes the place of the earlier JB/T 10023-1999 and was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
