1 Foreword

HG/T 4387-2012 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 28 December 2012 and has been in force since 1 June 2013.

2 Scope

This standard is the Chinese chemical industry standard for high-temperature resistant resin catalysts used in the hydration of butene. It lays down the requirements for these catalysts together with the test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport and storage that accompany them. The catalysts in question are styrene-divinylbenzene copolymers carrying a cross-linked network structure. The standard is a recommended one, filed under G71 in the Chinese classification and 71.100.40 in the international scheme. It is worked alongside a group of general chemical standards, among them GB/T 191, GB/T 601, GB/T 603, GB/T 5757, GB/T 5758, GB/T 8144 and GB/T 12598.
