Scope
GB/T 5475-2013 is the English-translated version of 离子交换树脂取样方法.
China's national method for sampling ion exchange resins. Ion exchange resin is supplied as millions of small polymer beads in a wet bed, and every property that is measured on it - capacity, moisture, particle size distribution, whole bead count - is measured on a sample of a few grams taken from a drum or a vessel holding hundreds of kilograms. Sampling is therefore the step that determines whether the analysis means anything, and a resin bed is unusually good at defeating careless sampling: the beads segregate by size as soon as the container is moved, the fines migrate to the top of a settled bed, and a sample scooped from the surface is systematically unrepresentative of what is below. The resin must also stay wet, since a bead that dries shrinks and cracks and is then counted as damaged. The standard specifies the method for sampling wet ion exchange resin and applies to wet resin sampling.

Foreword
This standard is prepared in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules. This standard replaces GB/T 5475-1985 "ion exchange resin sampling method", compared with the GB/T 5475-1985, the main technical change Of the following.

2.2 points like container Flat enamel or plastic container.
2.3 sample container Clean sealable container.
2.1 Sampler
2.1.1 Material. stainless steel or plastic.
2.1.2 Size. inner diameter of 25mm ~ 30mm, opening width of 18mm ~ 20mm, the length of the opening is not less than the ion exchange resin storey 80% of degrees. As shown in Figure 1. The total length of the sampler can adjust the height of the exchange resin layer according to the container lon sampler probe into the bottom of the container opening paragraph After the trailing end of the surface layer is higher than the ion exchange resin is not less than 200mm.
Note. The sub-sampler can be made to facilitate different ion exchange resin layer height of specimen sampling. Millimeters Figure
3 Sampling Rules
3.1 Sampling We need resin samples from the same batch of ion exchange, when there are n the package, when n is less than or equal to
3.00 each sample shall not be less than 3; when n is greater than
3.00 to take a random sampling method, the total number of samples calculated according to the formula n 1 (whichever occurs decimals rounded up method Integer), each sample shall not be less than 2 times.
