This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 19861-2005 "Acrylic Anion Exchange Resins with Strong Base Groups, Weak Base Groups and Weak Acid Groups for Exchange Capacity". Compared with GB/T 19861-2005, the main technical changes in the "Methods for Determination of Quantities" are as follows, except for structural adjustments and editorial modifications.

1 Scope

GB/T 19861-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering the exchange capacity of an anion resin - the number of sites available to hold ions, which is what a demineralisation plant is buying and what falls as the resin ages and fouls. It replaces GB/T 19861-2005. It was issued on 28 January 2026 and has been in force since 1 August 2026, replacing GB/T 19861-2005. This document describes a method for determining the exchange capacity of acrylic anion exchange resins. This document applies to the determination of the capacity of strong base groups, weak base groups, and weak acid groups in acrylic anion exchange resins.
