HG/T 4338-2012 is the English-translated version of 高氯化聚乙烯防腐涂料.

HG/T 4338-2012 is a recommended chemical industry standard of China for high chlorinated polyethylene anticorrosive coatings. It classifies these coatings and then sets their requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions on marking, packaging and storage. It applies to coatings built on high chlorinated polyethylene resin as the main film-forming material, which places it in the paint and varnish class 87.040. Testing draws on the general coating standards it quotes, among them GB/T 1766-2008, GB/T 5210-2006 and GB/T 9286-1998. Issued on 7 November 2012, it has applied since 1 March 2013.
