Part 2 of the HG/T 4333 series, HG/T 4333.2-2012, applies the same treatment to potassium cyanide. The Chinese chemical industry standard sets out the physicochemical properties of potassium cyanide and the harm it can cause, gives the terms and definitions used in spill treatment and disposal, and then covers the emergency measures for a leak, the environmental monitoring on site, and the treatment and disposal of the place where the cyanide has escaped. It is a recommended standard, classified Z05 in China and under ICS 13.030.20. It quotes GB 12268-2005, GB/T 18664-2002 and GB/T 24536-2009. Issued on 28 December 2012, it has applied since 1 June 2013.
